Funeral and Sympathy Flowers in Bakersfield

When someone dies, flowers are one of the few things you can actually do. We have been arranging funeral and sympathy flowers on Brimhall Road since 2007, and we deliver to every funeral home, mortuary and chapel in Bakersfield.

What to send

For the service

These go to the funeral home and stay with the family through the service: standing sprays on an easel, casket sprays, wreaths and hearts, and larger set pieces for either side of the casket. If you are close family, this is usually what you send.

For the home

Sent to the house in the days after, or instead of flowers at the service. Vase arrangements, plants that keep going long after the week is over, and something small enough to sit on a kitchen counter without taking it over. This is usually the right choice for a coworker, a neighbour, or anyone outside the immediate family.

If you have no idea what to send

Tell us the relationship and a budget and we will build it. That is genuinely most of what we do. There is no wrong answer here, and nobody has ever been upset to receive flowers.

Timing

This is the part people get wrong, so plainly:

Order by 12pm for delivery the same afternoon, Monday to Saturday.
For a service, we deliver to the funeral home two to three hours before it starts, so everything is in place before the family arrives.
For a Monday service, order by Saturday morning. We are closed Sundays.
For a graveside service only, tell us when you order. Those go straight to the cemetery and are timed differently.

If the service is soon and you are not sure, call us. We would rather talk it through than have you guess on a form.

What it costs

Standing sprays for a service start at $324.99 and go up with size. Casket sprays start at $199.99, and arrangements for the family home start at $64.99. We will tell you what your budget actually buys before you commit to it, and we will not talk you into something bigger than you came for.

A note on the card

Keep the message short. “With deepest sympathy, the Hernandez family” is enough, and it is what people remember reading. When you order online you can see exactly how your message will sit on the card before you pay for it.
