Shipping policy

We do not ship flowers. Uniquely Chic Florist & Boutique is a local shop on Brimhall Road. Every order is arranged by hand here and taken to the address by one of our own drivers, usually the same day. Nothing goes by mail or courier, there is no tracking number, and we do not deliver outside the Bakersfield area listed below. Shopify calls this page a shipping policy; for us it is a delivery policy.

Where we deliver

We hand-deliver across Bakersfield and Shafter: 93301, 93304, 93305, 93306, 93307, 93308, 93309, 93311, 93312, 93313, 93314 and 93263. If your ZIP code is not on that list, call us on (661) 588-7997 before you order and we will tell you honestly whether we can reach you.

What delivery costs

Local delivery is a flat $18.00 anywhere in the delivery area above, shown at checkout before you pay.

We do not add service charges, handling fees, fuel surcharges or care-and-handling fees. The price on the product page, plus $18.00 delivery, plus California sales tax, is what you pay.

Collecting from the shop is free.

Same-day delivery

Order by 12:00pm Pacific, Monday to Saturday, and we deliver the same afternoon. Orders placed after 12:00pm, on a Sunday, or on a holiday go out on the next delivery day.

We cannot promise a delivery time of day. If your flowers have to arrive by a particular hour — a funeral service, an event, a hospital discharge — call the shop and we will tell you whether we can commit to it.

Where we leave flowers

If nobody is home we may leave the arrangement in a shaded, sheltered spot at the address, leave it with a neighbor, or bring it back to the shop, depending on the weather and the property. We will let you know either way.

Hospitals, care homes, funeral homes and businesses usually have their own receiving process, and we hand deliveries to them. Please give us a room number, ward, service time or business name wherever you can.

Addresses

Please check apartment and suite numbers, gate codes and the recipient's phone number before you order. If a second delivery attempt is needed because the address was wrong or incomplete, an additional delivery charge applies.

Substitutions

Flowers are seasonal and perishable. Where a particular stem is unavailable we substitute one of equal or greater value in the same style and color See our substitution policy for the detail.
